• Always start with a consult to check for contraindications and treatment consent paperwork. 
• Always check for possible allergens. 
• Determine the area of application. Remember, you should charge by the area. 
• Drape and position.
• Using gloved hands, use cotton rounds to clean the treatment area with alcohol. 
• All oil must be removed from the skin for the product to properly penetrate. 
• Dispense 1 pump of P.P.P lightening solution into a disposable cup. You can add more after the application if needed.
• Apply a thin layer to the treatment area with a disposable brush till the entire treatment area is covered. You can massage in the product with the sponge applicator for better penetration. 

          At this point, you can let your client know you will be letting the solution process for up to 20 minutes. They will feel a slight itchy feeling. You will need to check on them after 5 minutes and again after 10 to determine if the product will stay on for the full 20 minutes.  

 If your client says it feels intolerable, neutralize it immediately and apply pH-stabilizing Awakening Drops with a cotton round. 

ALWAYS CHECK YOUR CLIENT'S SENSITIVITY LEVEL

Neutralizing 

Add a tablespoon of baking soda and about 1 cup of water in a bowl. Soak your 4x4 cotton squares. Slightly ringing excess out of the 4x4 square, Gently and firmly press the saturated cotton square on the area to neutralize the solution.  You will hear a fizzing sound as it deactivates the solution. Continue this step till all fizzing stops. 

Use a new  4x4 each time. Do not double dip.

Clean

Using a wet cotton round or mild toner, remove the excess neutralizing solution.

Soothe & Protect- A must!

Apply a few drops of the pH-stabilizing awakening drops with a cotton round. This will help return the skin to its normal pH and add a protective soothing barrier. Only a few drops are needed. This is also a good lead to introduce the product for retail sale.

Let your client know they are to be gentle with the area of application for up to the next 48 hours.

Treatment Troubleshooting

Issue: My client is not getting any results. What am I doing incorrectly?

Solution:  Ensure that you are strictly adhering to the protocol. Verify that you are utilizing the appropriate applicator. The sponge applicator is gentle enough to massage the product into the skin effectively without absorbing it entirely.  

Exfoliation is crucial!

 Often, areas of darkness may have a rough layer of dry skin. This dry barrier could be hindering the penetration of the product to reach the melanocyte.  Recommend that your client prepare for their pro treatment by using the Pretty Pink Parts brightening pads starting two weeks before. They can be applied up to three days before their treatment. 

You can also suggest the client use an exfoliating glove between treatments.

Be sure your product is being properly stored. Lactic-based products need to be stored in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and heat sources.  Exposure to light can degrade the active ingredients.
